Skyron is a studio that provides talents in yacht design and engineering, bonded in a structured, homogeneous and organized work group. Skyron strongly believes in specific individual skills, giving value to personal ability and creativity. Born in 2013 by the intiative of a group of engineers and designers, the company has enstablished throughout the years a strong partnership with well known companies on both national and international land, and a wide network of suppliers.
New Gran Soleil 34, our last full project.
The entry level yacht of the well know italian brand Gran Soleil has been entirely designed by Skyron. From concept, to layout, waterlines and structures, the entire prject has been developped by our team. After recieving a warm welcome by the press, the first boat produced has competed its first sailing season in the Italian Offshore x2 Championship and reached the 1st placement.
Skyron has established a solid and prolific collaboration with Dufour Yachts, partecipating into the launch of the the yard that produces its new line Catamarans, engineering the serie production, and following each step of the construction and assembly as technical office director in the Forlì shipyard.
Skyron developped through the years a strong partnership with Ferretti Group, covering the propulsion and systems design, the engine room arrangement, and kinematics design of several yacht models from all the group brands.
Design and construction of a Mini Transat 6.50 made in Basalt and recyclable materials. Structures scantling, seakeeping, and CFD optimizatoin of hull and appendages.
Preliminary design of a foiling taxi boat with electric propulsion, meant to work in the Venice Lagoon.
CFD study and optimization of the foils, and development of the electric propusion system in collaboration with Huracan Power.
Skyron has provided Project Management services to the italian company CorseT-Co, specialized in manufacturing moulds and structures in composite materials for marine industries. Skyron has followed and managed the construction of tools and the lamination of all composite structures of a 60 and a 66 ft sailing yacth, from hull and deck to small components, using the most advanced technology and processes.
Skyron helped Huracan Electric Power (a well known company in the electric automotive and motor world) to enter the marine industry, and developped a propulsion system for sailing yachts 100% electric.
Skyron has developped the preliminary design of a full-electric 5,5 m tender for ASIS Boats, including hull and saildrive CFD optimization.
Skyron collaborates with the material laboratory Linset, a well known excellence in testing all composite materials used in the marine industries.
Skyron likes developing its own "tools". One example, we created a software that matches engine-propeller of each specific boat type, just by knowing the main characteristics and variables of the boat (Sailing/motor yacht, Design speed, weight, length…)
Skyron is the official Tuccoli shipyard technical office, supporting production with 2D and 2D modelling, managing production steps and guranteeing best quality standards.
